We went to Lotus Garden a month ago and went again tonight, and it was just as perfect the second visit. We ordered the pan fried meat dumplings and the rice cakes Shanghai style. The dumplings were the best I have ever had. The wrapper was home made and deliciously chewy, the meat was juicy and flavorful, and the sauce that came with it was incredible. The rice cakes were out of this world good. If youโ€™ve never had Asian rice cakes before, they are like a bouncy chewy rice noodle, the texture is similar to a firm mochi. The texture of the rice cakes at Lotus Garden are perfection. The sauce was extremely flavorful, salty, umami, sour, and sweet all at the same time. It came with shrimp, pork, cabbage, and shiitake mushrooms, all of which were delicious. The waiter was very attentive and funny. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and my family will definitely be coming back!

The Chinese people say this place is great, but Iโ€™ve tried it three times and disagree. Itโ€™s just not ideal for a midwesterner. The lamb dry pot was good, but too hot relative to dry pot in NY or Philly. Updated review: I gave a not great review a few months ago. As a midwesterner I was more expecting non-authentic flavors that I would get from a standard restaurant. But, It was the only place open on Christmas Eve and so I went back. The food was very delicious and the waitress was extremely attentive. Pictured are lamb dry pot (spicy), a Hunan lamb (sweet), west-lake beef chowder, lotus root with calamari, and free Sago soup with Taro. As such, I have changed my mind, this place is great for people who like authentic Chinese food.

Enjoyed a nice dinner here with family. I would highly recommend the Spicy Diced Szechuan Chicken, Szechuan Fish Filet, and the string beans! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Definitely check this place out if you want some authentic Chinese food!

Human Lamb: Good, it's very soft but the sauce is a bit sweet for my taste Eggplant with chicken: Great. Would eat again. Very flavorful and salty, not overwhelming. Spicy Crispy Beef: good. Even though they say spicy, it's not even on american average standard. Breased and fried beef strips in sweet and sour sauce. Crab langoon: good

Hot and sour soup was good but the fried chicken wings and crispy shrimp/scallops were very small in portion size. The batter on the shrimp was also not cooked, it was still powdery/white in a few spots.
